Weight Loss Update

June was a good month overall!

On my vacation, I saw family and friends, traveled to Keene NH (went to Keene State College and love the area), and went on 3 new trails. Stonehouse Pond in Barrington NH was a bit of a challenge because I had to climb "up", but it's not like Mt. Major so it was manageable! Pickering Pond in Rochester, NH only got 3 stars from me because the trails weren't labelled and at one point it went by the sewage area, so very smelly. My favorite was the Winnie the Pooh trail in Barrington NH. Well labelled and fun, and I plan to go back when I have more time to go off the main trail! I also went to the Flume Gorge. The last time I went was in June 2021. It's one of my favorite places- I love reading about the history and different animals/plants in the area, and feel in awe of the rocks, cliffs, and water.

I turned 33. I had breakfast with my family at Tucker's and dinner with friends at Tuckaway Tavern. I brought lots of leftovers home.

I had an endocrinology appointment that went well! The doctor was pleased with my success. I hit my new low of 257.6 pounds on my home scale (283 on 2/28 in the endocrinology office). I've surprisingly lost 1.5 inches in my waist compared to April 2023 so even though my weight is a few pounds up, apparently the fat has distributed differently. I'm going to post some comparison pictures and thoughts from when I was editing them to wrap this post up!

  1. Wear the same thing and stand in the same spot (distance from mirror) going forward.

  2. Don't delete past pics. This will avoid time wasted on cropping and adding text each month.

  3. Don't get mad that I only lost 5 pounds in two months. If I had made this post two days earlier, I would've been 7 pounds down in two months. Note: take pics on the same day each month. The scale will fluctuate. The point is this month I'm down. Also 3 scale readings in a row below 260!

  4. I'm my own worst critic. I'm not doing this for looks but the way my stomach hangs bothers me, and at the gym on 6/30 I noticed it jiggling on the treadmill. But I'm determined to keep going in the right direction and that has to be stronger than being mad at myself for putting myself in this position. I do notice my double chin getting smaller. Hopefully I see some change in my stomach too. The fit of the jacket doesn't feel any looser, but it will eventually!
